TRiP Foundation’s Thailand Projects
Thailand is a country of much wealth compared to some of its neighbors. It is also very rich in natural beauty. However, there is still a great demand for help here, often unseen to the general public or tourists.
WSE Travel stands strongly behind our T.R.I.P. philosophy: Travel Responsibly, Impact Positively. As part of our initiative to ensure a positive impact is made from our guests’ travels with us, we donate 2% of the Gross Sales Price of their tour or experience bought through Where Sidewalks End. *
We sponsor either a community social project, an environmental project, or an animal protection project within the country they visit. The funds donated are by us on behalf of our guests by Where Sidewalks End, without costing them anything additional.
As local representatives of these countries and communities, we feel our responsibility is to give back to protect and preserve our destinations. This should not be asked of in addition to the hard-earned money our guests are already spending for their well-deserved holidays (though additional donations for the projects are encouraged should our guests wish to take this initiative).
All amounts raised and collected for our TRiP Foundation are donated at the end of the calendar year to these awesome projects:
Organization: Action Change
Type: Animal Protection Project
About this Organization
Action Change is dedicated to supporting communities in creating brighter, better, and more sustainable futures for all their citizens by fostering an international network of individuals united by a shared goal of addressing global challenges, raising awareness about the importance of environmental protection, and responding to the demands of natural and unforeseen disasters.
Action Changeโs Sea Turtles in Thailand project addresses the critical threats facing Thailandโs sensitive turtle population, exacerbated by increasing tourism in nesting and breeding areas. By creating safe, monitored spaces for turtles to lay their eggs and raising awareness about sustainable tourism, the initiative seeks to balance conservation with the economic reliance on tourism. The project also emphasizes long-term impact through community education and habitat preservation, aiming to boost turtle populations, reduce human impact, and inspire broader conservation efforts for all species.

Courageous Kitchen
Courageous Kitchen is concerned with alleviating the ills of urban poverty in Bangkok by promoting individual action through volunteering initiatives, sharing quality information on organizations working to build stronger healthier communities, and organizing a Saturday School for kids from two poor communities to improve their English literacy. Courageous Kitchen also helps asylum-seeking refugees with food and rent as they are often unable to find work to support themselves.
Courageous Kitchen needs help securing sponsorship for their refugee families. They support rent and other ongoing living costs so any items from their wish list can make a big difference. They always need essentials such as food items, quality clothing, generic medicines, and hygiene products.
